Dana H. Medcalf, Ph.D. Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Specialties: Dr. Medcalf's areas of professional interest include Marriage and family issues, men's issues, teen issues, executive coaching, individual therapy for depression, mood disorders, anxiety and sexual addiction.
Education: Dr. Medcalf completed his Masters in Counseling from Georgia State University and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University Of South Dakota.
Special Training and Experience: Dr. Medcalf has worked in the mental health field for over thirty years. He worked as an Air Force psychologist for three years and has taken some seminary courses. For thirteen years he was affiliated with New Life Clinics/Meier Clinics. For seven years he was Clinical Director of Virginia operations and during his last four years he was the U.S. Northeast Regional Director for four years. During this time, Dr. Medcalf also developed and managed several inpatient and day treatment programs at hospitals and outpatient facilities. Dr. Medcalf enjoys opportunities to do presentations on mental health issues (depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, marriage, parenting etc.) and the integration of Christianity and psychology.
Leslie J. Trautman- Kacsir, Psy.D. (Resident in Psychology)
Specialties: Dr. Kacsir's professional interests span from child to adult populations and include the development of integrated treatment approaches stemming from a Catholic and Christian moral perspective, the incorporation of virtue in psychological conceptualization and treatment, the development of spiritual strategies from psychological healing, vocational assessment, post-abortion healing, and character/personality development. Her dissertation focused on the healing of character disorders through the development of virtue.
Education: Dr. Kacsir completed a Masters of Science in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at Sourther Illinois University. She received her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from the Institute for the Psychological Sciences (I.P.S.) in Arlington, VA after completing her pre-doctoral internship working with young adults who have character, educational, substance abuse, and transitional difficulties. She is currently working towards licensure in the state of Virginia.
Specialized Training and Experience: Dr. Kacsir studied psychology at IPS, a clinical psychology training program geared towards forming professionals in psycholoyg who approach treatment from a Christian Anthropology. She has had intensive training in several treatment modalities ranging behavior to emotion-focused therapies and is therefore comfortable approaching various aspects of the human person in therapy. She has been a volunteer for Rachel's Vineyard, a post-abortive healing ministry, for the past four years. In addition, she has 13 years of experience working with children with disabilities (ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Autistic Spectrum) and their families in both educational and clinical settings.
Erica Englefield,M.A. (Resident in Counseling)

Specialties: Erica Englefield's professional interests include the integration of Catholic and Christian morality with contemporary counseling techniques for the treatment of various mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and ADHD.
Education: Erica Englefield completed a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Franciscan's Masters in Counseling program. She is a licensed professional counselor in the State of Ohio and is currentely working on her licensure in Virginia.
Specialized Training and Experience: Erica has completed two internships at an outpatient community mental health clinic in Ohio as well as a practicum in the Youth Services Division. Erica has co-facilitated group therapy for adults suffering from severe mental illnesses in a partial hospitalization program and Senior Day Program. She has also had exeprience working on the outpatient addiction recovery unit and conductiting intake assessments on both adults and children.
Bart Middleton, MAMFC (Resident in Counseling)
Specialties: Bart Middleton is specifically interested in Intergenerational Marriage and Family therapy, Structural and Strategic Marriage and Family counseling, Cognitive behavioral therapy, Crisis Counseling, and stress and conflict management.
Education: Bart received a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is working on licensure in the State of Virginia.
Specialized Training and Experience: Bart Middleton has prior experience working at a psychiatric hospital an New Orleans that sepcialized in the treatment of sexual trauma, complusive behavior, eating disorders, chemical dependency, schizophrenia, as well as child and adolescent disorders. Bart also has experience working in a spiritually based outpatient day program leading individual and group therapy.
